To achieve success, the starting point is your attitude and approach to driving and a clear understanding of the need for basic car care.

What will I gain in this section?
By the end of this section, you will be starting to understand a lot more about driving – this may be by revisiting some of the stuff that you learned in driving school or looking forward to the new skills you will be learning.
The section on driving standards gives an overview of both the vehicle control and road skills required for safe driving and advanced tests.
Over and above any training that you might undertake in addition to this course, your driving can be developed through advanced driving organisations in the UK. The advanced tests and their benefits are explained.
An essential prerequisite for good driving is a vehicle that is safe and efficient to drive!
This course considers the importance of maintaining your car for maximum safety. The car-care project will help to get you thinking about regular vehicle maintenance plus daily and weekly checks.

Keep track of progress is essential for ADI students, This part of the course includes a self-assessment method that you can use throughout the rest of the course – it is also an excellent method for use with your future clients.
The self-evaluation process is also important because it will start to give you an insight about how learning takes place.
