The constant view
The photo below is taken just beyond the bend sign shown in the photo on the previous page. This means that we have now reached the 'yellow circle' area of the road. You can see the hill in now ahead. At this point you will have set your speed for the bend in line with the stopping distance guidelines outlined on the previous page. The speed now remains constant as we drive around the bend under gentle acceleration.
In the next two photos we can now see further around the bend, but the limit of our vision is still about the same - the distance of two telegraph poles. (Notice that the hill has disappeared to the right in the second photo)
