ADI CPD - Skills Development / Check Test Preparation

Training you can trust ...Whether you have concerns about your Check-Test or simply want to develop your training skills for a better business, the proven success methods developed by John Farlam can help you.

Over the years the Check-Test has changed over recent years and many instructors are unsure about how the ongoing changes might affect them.

You might be one of those who has experienced a feeling of insecurity. Other instructors have experienced the upset of being downgraded without fully understanding why.

The SmartDriving approach to ADI CPD (Continuing Professional Development) continues to help instructors to recover from Check-Test problems, get higher grades, more job satisfaction and a gain better all round understanding of their work.

Courses cover the following topics and much more besides ...

Lesson and course structure
Motivational techniques
Error identification and correction
Strategies to meet your customer's needs
Advanced fault analysis
Understanding appropriate 'levels of instruction'
Route planning - critical success factors
'Success Based' feedback methods
The analysis and correction of specific problems
Q&A as an effective coaching tool

The main areas for attention are normally those listed above, however, the root cause of any weakness in your training style will be uncovered and your strengths will be amplified.

Courses are available 'one-to-one' or 'two-to-one'

One-to-one courses are essential if you have failed a Check-Test or feel insecure about your skills and abilities - training can be adjusted specifically to suit individual needs.

Two-to-one training is ideal for general CPD offering a deep insight into effective tuition strategies. Two-to-one courses are a little less flexible and follow more closely to a pre-determined syllabus.

Format

Check-Test 'rescue' and instructor development are normally run as a two-day programme (extra days available if required).

Day-One runs from 9.30am to 5.00pm and looks at your needs and basic skills with training to develop any weak areas.

Day-Two runs from 9.00am to 4.00pm and is designed to help you integrate skills in the context of day-to-day lessons and the Check-Test.

All training uses modern accelerated learning methods, including simple 'training games' that will make your learning experience easy, enjoyable and stress-free. What you won't get is the destructive and demoralising "Let's do some role-play and I'll tell you what you are doing wrong" approach ...
